Roski is having a class next semester called Ideas in Intermedia. One of their jumping off points is the work of Haim Steinbach.

"Steinbach displays objects, ranging from the natural to the ordinary, the artistic to the ethnographic, giving form to art works that illuminate objects’ aesthetic and social qualities. Exploring the psychological, cultural and ritualistic meanings of objects and their context, Steinbach has radically redefined the status of the object in art."

I love that ET is the focus in the piece above. Anyways, I'm not convinced if the class sounds pretentious or really really interesting....
