JULIA RANDALL

There is something fascinating about the human mouth. It's the way skin and meat fold outwards and expose deep reds and purples from within while simultaneously framing strange calcified white-ish structures. It's also the fact that our mouths are orifices that enclose one of the strongest muscles in our bodies- that strange pink wet-carpet like thing we call a tongue.

Whatever it may be, artist Julia Randall captures the exquisiteness of the human mouth in many of her drawings. Her weapon of choice is the colored pencil, and the results are simply amazing.
